why I don’t have ads on my site…
As a public service to you, be sure that Deerlife is always on the lookout, ever vigilant…This was just sighted on the main Revelife page:
Prayer…experience the magic? Magic?
Sexy thin vegan wallets? Could a vegan wallet be fat? Hmm…perhaps Daniel would have used a vegan wallet…
Stories on the power of prayer? Um, well, we could open up the Bible and find some of those, couldn’t we?
Answered prayer! Yes! All right! Now I can find out how to pray so I can win the lottery … or get into the top blogs or …

As a relative novice on all these SEO things, etc., I do find ads on our blogs distracting – even defeating the purpose of a “Christian” blog. What does it take to get rid of them – for good? I know I’m not getting paid to have them there – wouldn’t want to, either.
@quest4god@revelife - Pay for premium and you wont’ have them on your site. But, the editors of the ish sites make their money based on those ads. While I have adblock installed I disable it for Revelife so the editor can get paid.
Don’t talk about my ads in that tone of voice…as long as you stay away my ads for a gay boyfriend, then I’m okay. =)
@quest4god@revelife - As @MagisterTom said you can pay to get rid of them on your own site, but you will run into them on other sites. It’s tough b/c Xanga/Revelife is a business; they do need to make $$$. I wish there were a way to have the ads rated so if you opted for a certain rating, you wouldn’t see some of the really bad ones. (You can get google ad sense on your site where they will give you $ for each time someone clicks on an add on your site. I don’t know how much $ per click you’d get. Like you, I’m not interested in having ads at all on my site.)
@MagisterTom - Tom, what do you mean about disabling adblock for Revelife?
Does adblock eliminate the ads from any site you view, not just your own?
@llamalima - I didn’t hear any voice… Heh. Gay boyfriend. Yeah, think I”ll be staying away from that one.
Google Adsense would make “sense” if the readers of my blog were searching for the things I wrote about. Most people (what few there are) who ready my blog are coming across it from Xanga/Revelife subs or friends, not looking for info.
